Should a believer have faith in Astrology and should he use it in his worldly affairs

Question
Before arranging a marriage some people match the stars of the man & woman with name. If the stars do not match they change the name of women; they say women's stars should match with men's stars . Also some Doctors say that before arranging marriage you should match the blood group of men and women; if it matches then the baby born is fine ?Are these practices approved in IslamI waiting for your prompt reply.

Answer
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.
Such an action is a form of forbidden deviation for the Prophetic Hadith related by Abu Dawood (with a good chain of narrators from Ibn Abbas (RAA)) that Allah's Messenger (SAW) said: "Whoever learns a part of astrology, it is as if he learns magic, and the more he learns this, the more he learns of magic" . In simple words, he is like the magician in misdeeds. As for having a test before marriage to check the harmony of blood groups between the fiancé and fiancée for the sake of good and healthy offspring, there is no harm as long as such an action is done under control of reliable medical authorities.
Allah knows best.
