What science says about the sky
Definition: The sky (or celestial dome) is everything that lies above the surface of the Earth, including the atmosphere and outer space.
In the field of astronomy, the sky is also called the celestial sphere. This is viewed from Earth's surface as an abstract dome on which the Sun, stars, planets, and Moon appear to be traveling. The celestial sphere is conventionally divided into designated areas called constellations. Usually, the term sky is used informally as the point of view from the Earth's surface; however, the meaning and usage can vary. In some cases, such as in discussing the weather, the sky refers to only the lower, more dense portions of the atmosphere.
It is an approved fact by scientists who say that the sky was created and whatever is in and around it.
The ‘Sky’ is a term we give to everything above the ground level (assuming you are not in a building.
Let’s consider how we talk about the Sky to work out what it actually contains. In common english we talk about the clouds in the sky, or the rain falling from the Sky; which means that the Sky must contain all of the Atmosphere. We also talk about the positions of the Sun, Moon, stars and planets in the Sky, which means that the Sky must contain all of outer Space too. So the Sky is around 100 or so miles of Atmosphere, and around 14 billion light years of Outer Space.

What Allah says about the sky:
Sahih International: [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him].
Also where Allah says, (51:47) And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander.
Thus logic accepts the fact that the One who created the sky also has the power to make changes to it and more of destroy it completely.
