سورة الواقعة

Ayat 1

When the Occurrence occurs, [Al-Waaqia: 1]

Ayat 2

There is, at its occurrence, no denial. [Al-Waaqia: 2]

Ayat 3

It will bring down [some] and raise up [others].1 [Al-Waaqia: 3]

Ayat 4

When the earth is shaken with convulsion [Al-Waaqia: 4]

Ayat 5

And the mountains are broken down, crumbling [Al-Waaqia: 5]

Ayat 6

And become dust dispersing, [Al-Waaqia: 6]

Ayat 7

And you become [of] three kinds: [Al-Waaqia: 7]

Ayat 8

Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?1 [Al-Waaqia: 8]

Ayat 9

And the companions of the left - what are companions of the left?1 [Al-Waaqia: 9]

Ayat 10

And the forerunners, the forerunners1 - [Al-Waaqia: 10]

Ayat 11

Those are the ones brought near [to Allāh] [Al-Waaqia: 11]

Ayat 12

In the Gardens of Pleasure, [Al-Waaqia: 12]

Ayat 13

A [large] company of the former peoples [Al-Waaqia: 13]

Ayat 14

And a few of the later peoples, [Al-Waaqia: 14]

Ayat 15

On thrones woven [with ornament], [Al-Waaqia: 15]

Ayat 16

Reclining on them, facing each other. [Al-Waaqia: 16]

Ayat 17

There will circulate among them young boys made eternal. [Al-Waaqia: 17]

Ayat 18

With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring - [Al-Waaqia: 18]

Ayat 19

No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated - [Al-Waaqia: 19]

Ayat 20

And fruit of what they select [Al-Waaqia: 20]

Ayat 21

And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire. [Al-Waaqia: 21]

Ayat 22

And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, [Al-Waaqia: 22]

Ayat 23

The likenesses of pearls well-protected, [Al-Waaqia: 23]

Ayat 24

As reward for what they used to do. [Al-Waaqia: 24]

Ayat 25

They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin - [Al-Waaqia: 25]

Ayat 26

Only a saying [of] peace, peace. [Al-Waaqia: 26]

Ayat 27

The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? [Al-Waaqia: 27]

Ayat 28

[They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed. [Al-Waaqia: 28]

Ayat 29

And [banana] trees layered [with fruit]. [Al-Waaqia: 29]

Ayat 30

And shade extended. [Al-Waaqia: 30]

Ayat 31

And water poured out [Al-Waaqia: 31]

Ayat 32

And fruit, abundant [and varied], [Al-Waaqia: 32]

Ayat 33

Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, [Al-Waaqia: 33]

Ayat 34

And [upon] beds raised high. [Al-Waaqia: 34]

Ayat 35

Indeed, We have produced them [i.e., the women of Paradise] in a [new] creation [Al-Waaqia: 35]

Ayat 36

And made them virgins, [Al-Waaqia: 36]

Ayat 37

Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age, [Al-Waaqia: 37]

Ayat 38

For the companions of the right [who are] [Al-Waaqia: 38]

Ayat 39

A company of the former peoples [Al-Waaqia: 39]

Ayat 40

And a company of the later peoples. [Al-Waaqia: 40]

Ayat 41

And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? [Al-Waaqia: 41]

Ayat 42

[They will be] in scorching fire and scalding water [Al-Waaqia: 42]

Ayat 43

And a shade of black smoke, [Al-Waaqia: 43]

Ayat 44

Neither cool nor beneficial. [Al-Waaqia: 44]

Ayat 45

Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence, [Al-Waaqia: 45]

Ayat 46

And they used to persist in the great violation,1 [Al-Waaqia: 46]

Ayat 47

And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? [Al-Waaqia: 47]

Ayat 48

And our forefathers [as well]?" [Al-Waaqia: 48]

Ayat 49

Say, [O Muḥammad], "Indeed, the former and later peoples [Al-Waaqia: 49]

Ayat 50

Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day." [Al-Waaqia: 50]

Ayat 51

Then indeed you, O those astray [who are] deniers, [Al-Waaqia: 51]

Ayat 52

Will be eating from trees of zaqqūm [Al-Waaqia: 52]

Ayat 53

And filling with it your bellies [Al-Waaqia: 53]

Ayat 54

And drinking on top of it from scalding water. [Al-Waaqia: 54]

Ayat 55

And will drink as the drinking of thirsty camels. [Al-Waaqia: 55]

Ayat 56

That is their accommodation on the Day of Recompense. [Al-Waaqia: 56]

Ayat 57

We have created you, so why do you not believe? [Al-Waaqia: 57]

Ayat 58

Have you seen that which you emit?1 [Al-Waaqia: 58]

Ayat 59

Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator? [Al-Waaqia: 59]

Ayat 60

We have decreed death among you, and We are not to be outdone [Al-Waaqia: 60]

Ayat 61

In that We will change your likenesses and produce you in that [form] which you do not know.1 [Al-Waaqia: 61]

Ayat 62

And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember? [Al-Waaqia: 62]

Ayat 63

And have you seen that [seed] which you sow? [Al-Waaqia: 63]

Ayat 64

Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower? [Al-Waaqia: 64]

Ayat 65

If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain in wonder,1 [Al-Waaqia: 65]

Ayat 66

[Saying], "Indeed, we are [now] in debt; [Al-Waaqia: 66]

Ayat 67

Rather, we have been deprived." [Al-Waaqia: 67]

Ayat 68

And have you seen the water that you drink? [Al-Waaqia: 68]

Ayat 69

Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down? [Al-Waaqia: 69]

Ayat 70

If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful? [Al-Waaqia: 70]

Ayat 71

And have you seen the fire that you ignite? [Al-Waaqia: 71]

Ayat 72

Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer? [Al-Waaqia: 72]

Ayat 73

We have made it a reminder1 and provision for the travelers,2 [Al-Waaqia: 73]

Ayat 74

So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. [Al-Waaqia: 74]
