Ayat 1

ٱقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍۢ مُّعْرِضُونَ.(1)

[The time of] their account has approached for the people, while they are in heedlessness turning away. [Al-Anbiyaa: 1]

Ayat 2

مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّهِم مُّحْدَثٍ إِلَّا ٱسْتَمَعُوهُ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ.(2)

No mention [i.e., revelation] comes to them anew from their Lord except that they listen to it while they are at play [Al-Anbiyaa: 2]

Ayat 3

لَاهِيَةًۭ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ وَأَسَرُّوا۟ ٱلنَّجْوَى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ هَلْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُكُمْ ۖ أَفَتَأْتُونَ ٱلسِّحْرَ وَأَنتُمْ تُبْصِرُونَ.(3)

Lahiyatan quloobuhum waasarroo alnnajwa allatheena thalamoo hal hatha illa basharun mithlukum afatatoona alssihra waantum tubsiroona

Ayat 4

قَالَ رَبِّى يَعْلَمُ ٱلْقَوْلَ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ.(4)

He [the Prophet (ﷺ)] said, "My Lord knows whatever is said throughout the heaven and earth, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing." [Al-Anbiyaa: 4]

Ayat 5

بَلْ قَالُوٓا۟ أَضْغَٰثُ أَحْلَٰمٍۭ بَلِ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ بَلْ هُوَ شَاعِرٌۭ فَلْيَأْتِنَا بِـَٔايَةٍۢ كَمَآ أُرْسِلَ ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ.(5)

Ayat 6

مَآ ءَامَنَتْ قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَٰهَآ ۖ أَفَهُمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ.(6)

Not a [single] city which We destroyed believed before them,1 so will they believe? [Al-Anbiyaa: 6]

Ayat 7

Ayat 8

وَمَا جَعَلْنَٰهُمْ جَسَدًۭا لَّا يَأْكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ خَٰلِدِينَ.(8)

And We did not make them [i.e., the prophets] forms not eating food,1 nor were they immortal [on earth]. [Al-Anbiyaa: 8]

Ayat 9

Ayat 10

Ayat 13

لَا تَرْكُضُوا۟ وَٱرْجِعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَآ أُتْرِفْتُمْ فِيهِ وَمَسَٰكِنِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُسْـَٔلُونَ.(13)

[Some angels said], "Do not flee but return to where you were given luxury and to your homes - perhaps you will be questioned."1 [Al-Anbiyaa: 13]

They said, "O woe to us! Indeed, we were wrongdoers." [Al-Anbiyaa: 14]

And that declaration of theirs did not cease until We made them [as] a harvest [mowed down], extinguished [like a fire]. [Al-Anbiyaa: 15]

And We did not create the heaven and earth and that between them in play. [Al-Anbiyaa: 16]

Ayat 17

لَوْ أَرَدْنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًۭا لَّٱتَّخَذْنَٰهُ مِن لَّدُنَّآ إِن كُنَّا فَٰعِلِينَ.(17)

Had We intended to take a diversion,1 We could have taken it from [what is] with Us - if [indeed] We were to do so. [Al-Anbiyaa: 17]

Ayat 18

بَلْ نَقْذِفُ بِٱلْحَقِّ عَلَى ٱلْبَٰطِلِ فَيَدْمَغُهُۥ فَإِذَا هُوَ زَاهِقٌۭ ۚ وَلَكُمُ ٱلْوَيْلُ مِمَّا تَصِفُونَ.(18)

Rather, We dash the truth upon falsehood, and it destroys it,1 and thereupon it departs. And for you is destruction from that which you describe.2 [Al-Anbiyaa: 18]

Ayat 19

وَلَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَمَنْ عِندَهُۥ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِهِۦ وَلَا يَسْتَحْسِرُونَ.(19)

Ayat 24

Ayat 25

Ayat 30

أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًۭا فَفَتَقْنَٰهُمَا ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمَآءِ كُلَّ شَىْءٍ حَىٍّ ۖ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ.(30)

Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and then We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe? [Al-Anbiyaa: 30]

Awalam yara allatheena kafaroo anna alssamawati waalarda kanata ratqan fafataqnahuma wajaAAalna mina almai kulla shayin hayyin afala yuminoona

Ayat 31

وَجَعَلْنَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ رَوَٰسِىَ أَن تَمِيدَ بِهِمْ وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا فِجَاجًۭا سُبُلًۭا لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ.(31)

And We placed within the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with them, and We made therein [mountain] passes [as] roads that they might be guided. [Al-Anbiyaa: 31]

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ وَٱلشَّمْسَ وَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ فِى فَلَكٍۢ يَسْبَحُونَ.(33)

And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all [heavenly bodies] in an orbit are swimming. [Al-Anbiyaa: 33]

1 وَنَضَعُ WanadaAAu And We set و ض ع
2 الْمَوَازِينَ almawazeena the scales و ز ن
3 الْقِسْطَ alqista (of) the justice ق س ط
4 لِيَوْمِ liyawmi for (the) Day ي و م
5 الْقِيَامَةِ alqiyamati (of) the Resurrection ق و م
6 فَلَا fala so not
7 تُظْلَمُ tuthlamu will be wronged ظ ل م
8 نَفْسٌ nafsun any soul ن ف س
9 شَيْئًا shayan (in) anything ش ي أ
10 وَإِن wain And if
11 كَانَ kana (there) be ك و ن
12 مِثْقَالَ mithqala weight ث ق ل
13 حَبَّةٍ habbatin (of) a seed ح ب ب
14 مِّنْ min of
15 خَرْدَلٍ khardalin a mustard خ ر د ل
16 أَتَيْنَا atayna We will bring أ ت ي
17 بِهَا biha [with] it
18 وَكَفَىٰ wakafa And sufficient ك ف ي
19 بِنَا bina (are) We
20 حَاسِبِينَ hasibeena (as) Reckoners ح س ب

Translation Sahih International

He said, "Then do you worship instead of Allāh that which does not benefit you at all or harm you?

Transliteration

Ayah 66

Qala afataAAbudoona min dooni Allahi ma la yanfaAAukum shayan wala yadurrukum

Ayat 97

وَٱقْتَرَبَ ٱلْوَعْدُ ٱلْحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِىَ شَٰخِصَةٌ أَبْصَٰرُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِى غَفْلَةٍۢ مِّنْ هَٰذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ.(97)

And [when] the true promise [i.e., the resurrection] has approached; then suddenly the eyes of those who disbelieved will be staring [in horror, while they say], "O woe to us; we had been unmindful of this; rather, we were wrongdoers." [Al-Anbiyaa: 97]

Waiqtaraba alwaAAdu alhaqqu faitha hiya shakhisatun absaru allatheena kafaroo ya waylana qad kunna fee ghaflatin min hatha bal kunna thalimeena

Ayat 98

إِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ حَصَبُ جَهَنَّمَ أَنتُمْ لَهَا وَٰرِدُونَ.(98)

يَوْمَ نَطْوِى ٱلسَّمَآءَ كَطَىِّ ٱلسِّجِلِّ لِلْكُتُبِ ۚ كَمَا بَدَأْنَآ أَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُّعِيدُهُۥ ۚ وَعْدًا عَلَيْنَآ ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا فَـٰعِلِينَ(104)

Ayat 105

وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِى ٱلزَّبُورِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ٱلذِّكْرِ أَنَّ ٱلْأَرْضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِىَ ٱلصَّٰلِحُونَ.(105)

Indeed, He knows what is declared of speech, and He knows what you conceal. [Al-Anbiyaa: 110]
