Ayat 1

قُلْ أُوحِىَ إِلَىَّ أَنَّهُ ٱسْتَمَعَ نَفَرٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا قُرْءَانًا عَجَبًۭا.(1)

Say, [O Muḥammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur’ān [i.e., recitation]. [Al-Jinn: 1]

Ayat 2

يَهْدِىٓ إِلَى ٱلرُّشْدِ فَـَٔامَنَّا بِهِۦ ۖ وَلَن نُّشْرِكَ بِرَبِّنَآ أَحَدًۭا.(2)

It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone. [Al-Jinn: 2]

And they had thought, as you thought, that Allāh would never send anyone [as a messenger]. [Al-Jinn: 7]

Ayat 9

وَأَنَّا كُنَّا نَقْعُدُ مِنْهَا مَقَٰعِدَ لِلسَّمْعِ ۖ فَمَن يَسْتَمِعِ ٱلْآنَ يَجِدْ لَهُۥ شِهَابًۭا رَّصَدًۭا.(9)

وَأَنَّا لَا نَدْرِىٓ أَشَرٌّ أُرِيدَ بِمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ أَمْ أَرَادَ بِهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ رَشَدًۭا.(10)

Ayat 13

وَأَنَّا لَمَّا سَمِعْنَا ٱلْهُدَىٰٓ ءَامَنَّا بِهِۦ ۖ فَمَن يُؤْمِنۢ بِرَبِّهِۦ فَلَا يَخَافُ بَخْسًۭا وَلَا رَهَقًۭا.(13)

And when we heard the guidance [i.e., the Qur’ān], we believed in it. And whoever believes in his Lord will not fear deprivation or burden.1 [Al-Jinn: 13]

And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allāh], and among us are the unjust.1 And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course. [Al-Jinn: 14]

But as for the unjust, they will be, for Hell, firewood.' [Al-Jinn: 15]

Ayat 17

Ayat 18

وَأَنَّ ٱلْمَسَٰجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدْعُوا۟ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ أَحَدًۭا.(18)

And [He revealed] that the masjids1 are for Allāh, so do not invoke2 with Allāh anyone. [Al-Jinn: 18]

Waanna almasajida lillahi fala tadAAoo maAAa Allahi ahadan

Ayat 19

وَأَنَّهُۥ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ ٱللَّهِ يَدْعُوهُ كَادُوا۟ يَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَدًۭا.(19)

And that when the Servant [i.e., Prophet] of Allāh stood up supplicating Him, they almost became about him a compacted mass."1 [Al-Jinn: 19]

Ayah 19

Say, [O Muḥammad], "I only invoke my Lord and do not associate with Him anyone." [Al-Jinn: 20]

Say, "Indeed, I do not possess for you [the power of] harm or right direction." [Al-Jinn: 21]

Ayat 22

Say, "Indeed, there will never protect me from Allāh anyone [if I should disobey], nor will I find in other than Him a refuge. [Al-Jinn: 22]

Ayat 23

إِلَّا بَلَٰغًۭا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِسَٰلَٰتِهِۦ ۚ وَمَن يَعْصِ ٱللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُۥ فَإِنَّ لَهُۥ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَآ أَبَدًا.(23)

Ayat 24

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا رَأَوْا۟ مَا يُوعَدُونَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَضْعَفُ نَاصِرًۭا وَأَقَلُّ عَدَدًۭا.(24)

[The disbelievers continue] until, when they see that which they are promised, then they will know who is weaker in helpers and less in number. [Al-Jinn: 24]

Ayat 26

عَٰلِمُ ٱلْغَيْبِ فَلَا يُظْهِرُ عَلَىٰ غَيْبِهِۦٓ أَحَدًا.(26)

[He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone [Al-Jinn: 26]
